reString Sync - Reel 200m

Great String!The best String i have played so far!

Sync is quite a unique string for crosses, some even use it full bed.

First set started to fray (I have never seen that before on a poly), but all consecutive sets did not.

Feel is good, although more by the high pitch pinging sound and some tickeling in the handle (I don´t use a dampener) rather than direct feedback.

If it´s only about feel a different string (maybe a rough one) may be better suited.

But this one lets the main strings slip very well, and it lasts very long. Elasticity vanishes faster than tension, so playability gets tougher instead of shooting holes in the fence.

I've been using Lux ALU for years in a gut hybrid set up. the ALU goes dead in about 3-5 hours of play.

When I learned about Sync I though, eh -- another new kid on the block that promises a lot but how can it possibly compete with what many consider the best poly on the planet for decades now?

Well, I'm here to tell you that in my experience Sync is simply a better string. I have used it against ALU in a full bed and in a hybrid: and Sync has superb touch, pocketing, and feel; indeed, in my opinion it is better than ALU in in this alone.

But it gets better. Sync also seems to grab the ball and impart more spin when intended than ALU. It just does, and I suspect it has something to do with (in addition to the main factor, technique of course) the slickness of the string and the snap-back that enables. For these reasons alone I prefer Sync. That slickness also means that it is very gentle on the gut strings.

But Sync also lasts much longer. The qualities it has last FAR MORE than 3-5 hours; I currently have more than twice those hours in my current racquets, and no sign of the dreaded ALU deadness whatsoever.

I used to be an ALU Power fan but the tension dropped too quickly, with Sync the feeling is just as good and I can get 10 hours of play versus just 5 with ALU. Really happy to have this as my set up with my V-Core!
